The Artist

Itisha Gupta is a contemporary artist based in Jaipur, India, whose practice explores memory, emotion, and the quiet poetry of the familiar.
Working primarily in acrylics, Itisha creates considered compositions drawn from everyday objects, landscapes, colour, and personal experiences. Her paintings transform familiar subjects into moments of pause, inviting the viewer to look beyond what is depicted and connect with what it evokes.
Her practice is rooted in the belief that meaning is deeply personal. An object, colour, or fleeting moment can hold an entire memory, and through her work, Itisha seeks to preserve that emotional resonance while leaving space for each viewer to bring their own story to the painting.
After a background in business and several years in banking, Itisha transitioned to art full-time, developing a practice that is both deeply personal and increasingly collector-led.
Her work is held by collectors internationally and is accompanied by a growing community of art enthusiasts who follow her evolving body of work.
Each painting is conceived as more than an image, it is a space for memory, interpretation, and a story that continues with the person who chooses to live with it.
